Usage and Activity
How is this different from your other Flash templates on this site?
Some of the games and interactions available in the Interaction Builder are also available as flash templates that come with the source code (but not all of them). The Interaction Build is for users that don’t have the Flash editing software and want to build simple games and interactions. If you want to have the Flash source files (.fla) and be able to customize and change everything, then you should look at our eLearning flash games, quizzes, and interactions.
Is there a download limit each month?
No. Download as many interactions as you’d like to.
Is there any special programming that I need to know?
No. Just build your interaction on the website.
Once I create and download an interaction is it still “connected” to your tool?
No. Once you download an interaction it is a separate .swf Flash file. You can put it anywhere. It is completely independent of our tool.
Do I have to pay more to get new interactions?
No. Any new interactions that we add are available to every user.
Can I use these interactions in courses that I sell?
Yes.
Is there a trial version that I can use?
Yes. You can use the entire tool without ever paying a dime. You can even download the interaction that you build. However, if you don’t sign-in the downloaded interaction will have our logo watermark. Go ahead and try out everything and download the interaction to test in your eLearning course. Then when you’re happy, come sign-up.
Do I need to own Flash to use your interactions?
No. Just input your information into the website editor. When done just click the download button and your interaction will be a single Flash (.swf) file that you can use in any eLearning software.
Can I get the Flash source file for my interaction?
Sorry this site is not built with that functionality. If you are interested in purchasing eLearning Flash templates with the source file check out our eLearning Flash Templates.
What are the support options that you offer?
You can email us anytime for assistance or check out our tutorial videos.
The images that I upload look “fuzzy” in the preview window of the tool. Is that correct?
Don’t worry, they only look “fuzzy” in the preview. We are compressing the images in the preview so that it takes less time to load while you’re building the interaction. When you download the images will look exactly how you created them.
Can I save my interactions and edit them later?
Yes. Once you log-in you’ll save a “My Saved Files” tab and then will allow you to edit, copy, and download previously created interactions.
Technical
Do I need a special proprietary plug-in to make it work?
No.
Do I need to install anything on my computer to use your interaction builder?
No. Just log into the website to create your interactions. No software to install.
What are the system requirements to use your interaction builder?
Just an internet connection and web-browser. We are not software…just a website.
What web-browsers are supported?
Any browser that can view content with Flash Player 8 or newer.
Are there any supporting files when I download the interaction?
No. The interaction is just one single Flash .swf file.
Is the downloaded file Actionscript 2 or 3?
Actionscript 2.
Will this work on my Mac?
Yes. You just need a web-browser.
What audio formats are supported for upload into interactions?
MP3 is the format that is currently supported.
What image formats are supported for upload into interactions?
.jpg, .gif. png.
Why do the images in the preview window look “fuzzy”?
The preview window optimizes your images so that it will load more quickly. The images in your downloaded file will look like the original image you uploaded.
Can I upload video into the interactions?
At this time no.

Can you send an invoice or use a PO to make this purchase?

Do I need a PayPal account to sign up?
No. There is an option to pay with a credit card.
Do the downloaded interactions have your logo or a watermark?
No. Once you are a registered user your downloaded interactions will not have any watermarks or logos.
Do you offer an educational discount?
Yes. Please contact us to learn more. Note: If you’re looking for just one user then you’ll find an education option on our pricing page subscription drop-down.
Do I need to pay based on how many employees we have?
No. You can distribute your interactions to as many people as you’d like. You pay per author/designer that is building interactions.
Will these work with my eLearning Development software?
Downloaded interactions are a single .swf Flash file. They will work with any tool that imports Flash. You may have specific settings in your software that you’d need to adjust to ensure proper playback.
Will these work in Articulate (’05 and ’09)?
Yes. Click the Flash Movie button and choose these settings:
- advance when user clicks next
- play independently of slide
Note: When you insert flash files into Articulate and then close and reopen the PowerPoint file, typically the flash file will appear as a large white box. Don’t worry the file is still there. For some reason this is just how flash files appear in Articulate when you re-open the PPT.
Will these work in Unison and ProForm?
Yes. Use the external .swf template page.
Will these work in Captivate?
Captivate 4 and earlier – Yes
Captivate 5 – No, it only works with Flash files that are Actionscript 3. Our interactions are currently Actionscript 2.
Will these work in Udutu?
Yes.
Will there work in Abode Connect?
Connect 7.5 and earlier – Yes.
Connect 8 – No, it only works with Flash files that are Actionscript 3. Our interactions are currently Actionscript 2.
Will these work in iSpring Presenter?
Yes. Just click the Flash button and find the downloaded interaction.
Note: After inserting the interaction, play the PowerPoint in SlideShow mode. You can then click on the interaction and that is how it will appear in the course thumbnail outline.
Will these work in Lectora?
Yes.

SCORM / AICC
Are these files AICC and/or Scorm compliant?
Our interactions and games can be embedded into any eLearning software. That authoring software could then be published as AICC and/or SCORM. Our interactions will not interfere with that communication. However, your interactions, games, and quizzes do not pass scores to your LMS. They are meant to be used to add interactivity and as “knowledge checks” not as final scored tests that need to be tracked.
Subscription Cancellation / Termination

Will my past interactions still work if I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Once an interaction is downloaded it is completely independent of our tool. It will still work. (However, you will not be able to edit the saved version unless you are a current member.)
What happens to my save files if I cancel my subscription?
We will store the data for at least 3 months. If you re-subscribe them you will have access to all previously saved files. We don’t guarantee that data in canceled accounts will remain for more than 3 months.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You may cancel at the end of any subscription cycle. (Annually or monthly depending on your plan.) Please note that we cannot prorate. Use the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the pricing page.
